ADVISORY: MTA to Detail Service Options to Mets Home Opener in First-of-Its-Kind ‘Race to the Game’ News Conference |

Leaders from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will 'race’ each other on the subway and LIRR ahead of the New York Mets' home opener today to recommend that fans use mass transit to travel to Citi Field. The news conference will be the first of its kind, held on two moving in-service trains at the same time, livestreamed to the media and public. The news conference can be watched via YouTube livestream, and journalists may ask questions via Zoom. WHEN: TODAY, April 8, at approximately 11:15 a.m. WHERE: On two in-service, eastbound trains going to Mets-Willets Point: a train and an LIRR train (11:19 a.m. from Penn Station to Port Washington).
