Two Powerplay Third Prize Winning Tickets Worth $100,000 Sold in New York

The New York Lottery today announced that two third prize winning Powerplay ticket worth $100,000 for the January 5, 2022 Powerball® drawing were purchased in New York. The winning tickets each have four matching numbers and the Powerball.  

The prize-winning Powerplay tickets were purchased at PPL Wine and Liquor in East Elmhurst and Sunrise Petroleum in West Babylon. The winning numbers for the Powerball drawing on January 5 were: 6-14-25-33-46 and the Powerball was 17. Players can securely check their tickets on the New York Lottery app.

The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The Powerball number is drawn from a separate field one to of 26.

The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 11 p.m. For an extra $1 players can add Powerplay, which multiplies a prize – not including the jackpot – by up to ten times. The Powerplay multiplier for Wednesday’s drawing is 2.
