Free In-Person Winter Energy Assistance Fairs

NYS Agency Experts to Help Consumers Navigate Cold Weather Events

ALBANY — In celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Department of Public Service (Department) today announced three in-person winter energy assistance fairs in coming weeks. These events are free and open to the public to learn about steps to take regarding winter preparedness and about ways to reduce energy costs. Experts in energy, housing, aging, and more will be on-hand to assist community members in learning about and applying for programs.

The winter energy assistance fairs, hosted by various State agencies, will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, January 27, 2024, and February 6, 2024, to assist community members in learning about:

  • Energy Affordability Programs
  • Financial Assistance Programs
  • Weatherization Programs
  • Energy Efficiency
  • Services for Older Adults
  • Consumer Rights and Protections
