Roofers Recruit Apprentices |

West Seneca, NY (April 29, 2020) - The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) for Roofers, Local Union #74 (Western NY), will conduct a recruitment from May 26, 2020 through May 21, 2021 for 20 Roofer apprentices, the New York State Department of Labor announced today. Please note that the 20 openings listed for Roofer apprentices represent the total number for two recruitment regions - the Finger Lakes and Western regions of the state. Applications must be completed in person at JATC for Roofers, Local Union #74, 2800 Clinton Street, West Seneca, NY, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding legal holidays, during the recruitment period. Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner. Under state law, sponsors of programs cannot discriminate against applicants because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or marital status. Women and minorities are encouraged to submit applications for apprenticeship programs. Sponsors of programs are required to adopt affirmative action plans for the recruitment of women and minorities. |
