DEC TO CELEBRATE EARTH WEEK AT ONONDAGA LAKE

Groundbreaking for New Recreational Attraction on Western Shoreline
 

As part of New York’s weeklong celebration of Earth Day, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Commissioner Basil Seggos, elected officials, and environmental stakeholders will break ground on a project along the Onondaga Lake shoreline in the town of Geddes, Onondaga County. The event will announce the start of a project to reconnect the public to Onondaga Lake.

Where:            Onondaga Lake Visitor Center, 280 Restoration Way, Syracuse, NY 13209.

Directions: From I-690 West, Exit 7. Use the righthand lane and at the traffic light, turn right on Restoration Way. From I-690 East, Exit 7. Turn left on State Fair Boulevard and use the left turn-only lane to travel under I-690. Continue straight through the traffic light to Restoration Way.

When:             Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at 10 a.m., rain or shine
