Ski, Ride and Save for the Rest of the Season

The Ski3 pass is available through April 19

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. --- Spring skiing and riding means three things… more sun, longer days and of course more runs.  It also means super savings too.  For the remainder of the 2012-’13 skiing and riding season, take advantage of discounted rates and fun for the whole family at Whiteface Mountain, in Wilmington, N.Y.; Gore Mountain, in North Creek, N.Y., and Belleayre Ski Resort in Highmount, N.Y.

It’s Springfest at Whiteface, the home of the greatest vertical in the east.  Take in all of the fun including Saturday’s, March 30, Whiteface Wipeout and Easter Sunday’s Easter Egg Hunt.

Plus from now until the end of the season, ski and ride for just $59/adults, $49/teens and seniors and only $39/juniors.  Whiteface is also offering a half-day rate of $45/adults, $35/teens and seniors and just $27/juniors.  The rates begin at noon each day.

Celebrate the maple season at Gore on Saturday during the mountain’s Maple Festival.  Ski and ride all day for just $30 and find some time to enjoy maple demonstrations from area sugar farms, while sampling some sweat treats including maple cotton candy and maple snow cones.  The mountain’s base lodge food court will also feature Belgium waffle sundaes with maple walnut ice cream and walnut toppings and male frosted sugar cookies.

No festival would be complete without music.  Raininhead will perform live from 1-5 p.m. at the base of the gondola.

Gore will also host a non-denominational Sunrise Service, Sunday, atop Bear Mountain at 7 a.m.  They will begin loading the gondola at 6:30 a.m.  The service will be followed by an Easter Brunch in the newly renovated Tannery.

March storms have led to an unprecedented amount of terrain open at Belleayre, so there’s great late-season skiing, riding and fun to be found at the Catskill area ski resort too.  The Cardboard Classic is slated for Saturday and Sunday’s rates are just $30.

Also from now until the end of the season, mid-week prices are only $41/adults, $39/teens and $31/juniors and seniors.  On the weekends ski and ride for $49/adults, $47/teens and only $37/juniors and seniors.

While you’re at any of the New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority’s (ORDA) ski resorts be sure to pick up your Ski3 pass and enjoy the rest of the season for free at all three resorts.  The Ski3 pass is available through April 19 for just $739 for adults and seniors, $385 for young adults and college students and only $299 for juniors.
