LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (December 19, 2016) – The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association, in conjunction with the New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA), is once again bringing the FIS Freestyle World Cup to Lake Placid, NY. The best international moguls and aerials athletes will compete in the Putnam Investments Freestyle Cup at Whiteface Mountain and the Olympic Jumping Complex January 13-14, 2017. Attached to this advisory is the event’s media credential request form, to be returned by January 6, 2017 for consideration WHAT: 2017 Putnam Investments Freestyle Cup Competition WHEN: Friday, January 13, 2017 (Moguls) and Saturday, January 14 (Aerials). ORDA operates Whiteface, Belleayre and Gore Mountain ski areas; the Olympic Sports Complex at Mt. Van Hoevenberg; the Olympic speed skating oval, Olympic jumping complex and Olympic arena. As host to international and national championships, the Authority has brought millions of athletes, spectator and participants to the region, resulting in significant economic development. |
