ADVISORY: MTA Chairman Joseph Lhota to Discuss Comprehensive Transportation Plan for LIRR Commuters Impacted by Amtrak’s Emergency Service Repairs at Penn Station |

In response to Amtrak’s emergency service repairs at Penn Station, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and LIRR are putting in place a comprehensive transportation plan to help LIRR commuters reach their destinations safely and reliably this summer. The plan goes into effect on July 10.
MTA and LIRR representatives will hold a media teleconference to discuss the action plan and key service objectives in the face of Amtrak’s emergency service repairs, including:
