Who:  State Parks Commissioner Erik Kulleseid, special guests 

What:  Join the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation on a statewide tour to highlight the diversity of activities and partnerships in advance of 2024’s Centennial celebration honoring the founding of our parks and sites system. During the course of the tour from Wednesday to Thursday, the Commissioner will participate in various activities (biking, firing a cannon, ziplining, visiting performance venues, and more) and joined by special guests.

9:15 AM: Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park

- Parking lot for the Park and Hudson Valley Rail Trail is available at both 75 and 100 Haviland Road, adjacent to the Park. Walk to entrance and meet at Walkway Welcome Pavilion (Ulster County side). 

11:30 AM: Lake Welch, Harriman State Park 

800 Kanawauke Road  

Stony Point, NY 10980 

-Please park in Parking Lot 3 and proceed to the large bathhouse / office building. Head to the lifeguard shack, a round white building that is located on the right side of the beach.
