ADVISORY: MTA New York City Transit To Provide Update on Inspections and Other Ongoing Efforts to Prevent Fallen Debris

Senior MTA leadership will provide an update on its inspections of containment baskets throughout the system and discuss ongoing efforts to prevent debris from falling from elevated structures. They will reveal a comprehensive strategy for better ensuring the safety of 60 miles of elevated structures.

WHEN:      11 a.m. on Friday, November 8. Media may begin setup at 10:15 a.m.

                    1170 Oak Point Ave, The Bronx, NY 10474
                    Longwood Avenue 6 stop.

*Please note that the Bronx-bound platform at Longwood Avenue is currently closed. Those traveling on Bronx-bound 6 trains may get off at Hunts Point Avenue and take the Manhattan-bound 6 train one stop south to get to Longwood Avenue.*
