New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Basil Seggos will join DEC fishing staff on Thursday, August 23, for the state’s Free Fishing Experience at the New York State Fair. Commissioner Seggos welcomes anglers of all ages and abilities to join him from 10a.m.- 2:00p.m. for a free family fishing event at the NY Experience Pond. All fishing equipment will be provided at no cost and no fishing licenses will be required. Additionally, all attendees of the Fair will receive free admission with a valid NYS Sporting License. ‎Commissioner Seggos will kick off the event at approximately 10:00 a.m.
