MTA to Provide Extra Bus Service for Randall’s Island Governor's Ball Concerts |

MTA New York City Transit is providing a special X80 express bus service from the 125 St-Lexington Avenue station to Randall’s Island daily from Friday, June 2 through Sunday, June 4, for those attending the Governor's Ball Concerts. The concerts begin at noon each day and gates open at 11:45 a.m. Customers boarding the X80 toward Randall’s Island will pay the express bus fare which is $6.50. However, customers transferring from the subway only pay $3.75. Keep in mind that monthly MetroCards will not work on the X80 bus, so make sure you have a pay-per-ride MetroCard with cash on it or exact change so you can pay upon boarding. To expedite service at the end of the concerts, no fares will be collected leaving the island; customers pay when they enter the connecting subway. Customers may also take the M35 to and from Randall's Island. The X80 will operate from 11:00 a.m. to midnight, about every 4-5 minutes during the event. Due to weekend work, service will operate local between 125 St and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall, and will not be travelling into Brooklyn. Take a or train to Union Square and transfer to a or train. service will be suspended in both directions between Bowling Green and Grand Cental-42 St. Take or trains instead.
