*** MEDIA ADVISORY*** NEW YORK STATE ASIAN AMERICAN AND PACIFIC ISLANDER COMMISSION HOLDS A COMMUNITY DIALOGUE IN ALBANY DURING THE CELEBRATION OF AAPI HERITAGE MONTH

Commission Continues Statewide Outreach and Will Host Three Panels to Discuss the Present, the Political Standing and the Future of the AAPI Communities in New York

2:00- 4:30 PM -The NYS Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Commission invites community members to listen and learn from community advocate, academics and AAPI Commission members across three panels tasked with discussing the community's economic and social well-being and addressing the present, political standing and the future horizons for AAPI communities throughout the state.

Panels:   

  1. Present Issues in the AAPI Community.
  2. AAPI Political Voice and Representation.
  3. Looking Towards the Future for the AAPI Community.
