2017 Bridgestone Skate America This Weekend in Lake Placid, New York

LAKE PLACID, N.Y.  
- Eighteen U.S. athletes will compete at 2017 Bridgestone Skate America, the final event of the 2017 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series, Nov. 24-26, at 1980 Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, N.Y.

NBC will air live the men’s free skate from 4-6 p.m. (ET) Saturday, Nov. 25, and the ladies free skate from 4-6 p.m. (ET) Sunday, Nov. 26. Also on Saturday, NBCSN will provide live coverage of the ladies short program from 9-11 p.m. (ET). Terry Gannon will handle play-by-play responsibilities and will be joined by 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski, three-time U.S. champion Johnny Weir, and reporter Andrea Joyce. Bill Doleman will call the pairs free skate and ice dance short and free dances, joined by 2011 U.S. champion Ryan Bradley for the pairs event, and 2006 Olympic silver medalist Ben Agosto for the ice dance competitions. 

Icenetwork and the Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will also provide coverage of the event. The icenetwork streaming schedule is below, while the full television broadcast schedule can be found here.

Icenetwork Season Pass subscribers will have access to live video from the competition. Mike Mancuso will cover play-by-play duties, and be joined by a host of analysts. Icenetwork’s coverage will include ICE Desk live from Lake Placid with Nick McCarvel hosting the coverage. Icenetwork analysts include Michael Weiss (three-time U.S. men’s champion), Brooke Castile (2007 U.S. pairs champion), Sinead Kerr (seven-time British ice dance champion) and Tonia Kwiatkowski (1996 U.S. ladies silver medalist). As part of its partnership with U.S. Figure Skating, Bridgestone Americas will serve as the title sponsor for Skate America. The entitlement is the centerpiece of an extensive new partnership with U.S. Figure Skating for the 2017-18 figure skating season.

The field at Skate America features 2017 U.S. champions Karen Chen, Nathan Chen, Haven Denney and Brandon Frazier (pairs) and Maia Shibutani and Alex Shibutani (ice dance). Ashley Wagner, the 2016 World silver medalist and three-time U.S. champion, and 2016 U.S. champion Adam Rippon will also compete. The international field boasts Olympic and World medalists. Highlighting the international field is the two-time World champion pair team of Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford of Canada and two-time World bronze medalist Boyang Jin of China.
