Metro-North Best Way for Soccer Fans to Travel to NYC Football Club Tournament at Fordham University on Wednesday, June 15

Railroad to Provide Enhanced Service for Tournament Game

 

 
MTA Metro-North Railroad will expand service this Wednesday, June 15, to accommodate an estimated 6,000 fans expected to attend the soccer match between the New York City Football Club and the NY Cosmos at 7:30 p.m. at Fordham University’s Jack Coffey Field.  The field is located on Southern Blvd., less than a half mile walk from the Fordham Metro-North station. Riding Metro-North is a convenient, easy and stress-free way to travel to the game.
 
Pre-Game: 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Southbound  
New Haven Line: The 5:25 p.m. train from New Haven-State Street station to Grand Central Terminal will be making an additional stop at the Fordham station.
 
Northbound  
Frequent service is available on Harlem and New Haven Line trains between Grand Central Terminal, Harlem 125-Street station and Fordham station.
 
Post-Game: 9:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Southbound
Frequent service is available at Fordham station on the Harlem Line and New Haven Line.
 
Northbound
Between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m., Metro-North will be bolstering regular service on Harlem Line and New Haven Line trains. Five Harlem Line trains will be making additional stops at the Fordham station, and four New Haven Line trains will be making additional stops at the Fordham station.
 
Customers should be prepared for crowded conditions after the game at the Fordham station.
