MEDIA ADVISORY: MTA to Hold Public Hearing on Federal Funding for 2024 Capital Projects

Officials Available to Comment on Capital Program Delays Caused by New Jersey Congestion Pricing Litigation 

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will hold a public hearing on the use of Federal funding for capital projects expected to begin in 2024.?Many of the projects seeking Federal funding also require a local funding match that will be supported by congestion pricing. 

Jamie Torres-Springer, President of MTA Construction & Development, will be available to comment about capital projects being delayed by New Jersey litigation over congestion pricing, as well as the possible capital projects slated for 2024 that could be delayed or canceled if congestion pricing does not begin as planned this spring.
