RFK Harlem River Lift Span Full 20 Minute Closure Wednesday Morning And Night for Marine Traffic

The Robert F. Kennedy Bridge’s Harlem River lift span will be closed in both directions Wednesday, August 3rd, at approximately 1:45 a.m. and again at 9:45 p.m. to allow for marine traffic. The time is contingent on when the vessel arrives at the bridge. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes during this time to avoid delays.

The closure will last about 15-20 minutes. The waterway is regulated by the U.S. Coast Guard and under federal maritime law bridge lifts are mandatory when requested.

Motorists can sign up for MTA e-mail or text alerts at www.mta.info and check the Bridges and Tunnels homepage or Facebook page for the latest information on this planned work.
