OGS ANNOUNCES EXPANSION OF THE NEW YORK STATE CAPITOL’S OFFICIAL ONLINE STORE

Dozens of New and Popular Items Added Online

Office of General Services (OGS) Commissioner Jeanette Moy today announced the expansion of the official New York State Capitol Online store. The website, launched one year ago on April 5, 2021, allowed for many of the popular items sold only at the Empire State Plaza Visitor Center and Gift Shop in Albany to be available for purchase 24/7 from anywhere in the country. The gift shop is filled with items inspired by the Capitol’s unique architecture and rich history with custom-designed products.
 
“Launched during the pandemic, the online store began as a safe and convenient method for people to purchase specialized New York merchandise. But now it has become a popular way for customers beyond the Capital Region to buy New York-themed souvenirs and unique gifts,” said Commissioner Moy. “We are thrilled to expand this online service, so everyone has a chance to buy New York and support local businesses from across the state.”  
 
O New products include: 
  • State Seal Cufflinks – With an antique bronze finish, the set of cufflinks is suitable for everyday use or special occasions. 
  • Capitol Tote Bag – Made of durable 100% cotton, this souvenir navy tote bag is printed in Albany, New York.  
  • Pewter State Seal Gift Sets – Embellished with a fine pewter casting, these boxed sets come in two varieties, one with a stainless steel wine chiller and wine glasses and the other with a decanter with four double old fashioned glasses
  • New York State Ice Cube Tray – For a “cool” effect, these BPS-free trays produce jumbo cubes imprinted with the Empire State.
  • Albany Long Sleeve Apparel – Featuring Albany’s “official flower,” the tulip,  these T-shirts celebrate Albany’s unique Dutch past.
