The New York Lottery today announced a winning ticket for the December 17, 2016 Powerball drawing was sold at Blueox Energy on Route 12 North in Norwich. The ticket is worth $50,000.

A second winning ticket also worth $50,000 was sold at a 7-Eleven in Suffolk County.

In addition to the $50,000 prize for the December 17 Powerball drawing, which was won by matching four out of five numbers plus the Powerball number, there were a total of 48,715 Powerball winners in New York for the December 17 drawing.

The winning numbers for the December 17 Powerball drawing were 01-08-16-40-48 and Powerball 10.

The Lottery encourages everyone who bought a New York Lottery draw game ticket, to check their tickets again, as they could be holding a winner. Tickets expire one year after the game’s drawing.

The winners may claim the tickets at Tioga Downs Casino at 2384 West River Road in Nichols, NY 13812 or at any one of the Lottery’s Customer Service Centers statewide, including the Syracuse office at 620 Erie Blvd. West, Syracuse, NY 13204. To learn more about how to redeem a prize, click here.
