LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (October 18, 2013) --- The Four Nations Cup is an annual tournament that has been held in varying forms since 1996, this year being part of the Bring on the World Tour for the U.S. women's national hockey team, as part of the overall preparation for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games. The tour is a key component of Team USA's quest for gold and will include the 2013 Four Nations Cup and three games against Canada. The U.S competes against Canada, Sweden and Finland in this year's tournament. WHAT: The Four Nations Cup media credential request form can be found on-line, HERE, or by logging onto https://usahockeynational.sportngin.com/register/form/067206017. WHEN: The Four Nations Cup will be held Tuesday, Nov. 2, through Saturday, Nov. 9, with two games played each day in the 1980 Rink Herb Brooks Arena at 3:30 and 7 p.m. The complete tournament schedule can be found HERE. Credentials will be accepted through Thursday, Oct. 31. -- ORDA -- Established in 1982, the New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) was created by the State of New York to manage the facilities used during the 1980 Olympic Winter Games at Lake Placid. ORDA operates Whiteface, Belleayre and Gore Mountain ski areas; the Olympic Sports Complex at Mt. Van Hoevenberg; the Olympic speed skating oval, Olympic jumping complex and Olympic arena. As host to international and national championships, the Authority has brought millions of athletes, spectator and participants to the region, resulting in significant economic development.
