On Tuesday, July 12th, 2016, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of a multifaceted project that has transformed Taughannock Falls State Park’s “Overlook,” the popular area from which visitors can easily access breathtaking views of the park's namesake waterfall – one of the outstanding natural attractions of the Northeast. The project is part of the NY Parks 2020 initiative, a multi-year commitment to leverage $900 million in private and public funding for State Parks through 2020.
