Jazz Festival at Caramoor Center: Saturday, July 14: gates open at 11 a.m., music starts at noon.
The experience:
Caramoor is dedicated to curating musical experiences that explore everything from classic masterpieces to musical innovations. Pleasantville Music Festival: Saturday, July 14: gates open at 11 a.m., music starts at noon.
The Experience:   
9 hours of music. 18 bands. 3 stages. Thousands of friends, families and lovers of live, world-class rock, setting out their chairs, blankets and tents, for a day of great music, dancing, food, dancing and fun.  The festival presents world-class headliners, breakout stars and local artists you need to know.

Getting there:
Take the Harlem Line to Pleasantville Station. When you get off the train, head toward the south end of the train (that's the rear of the train if coming from NYC) and head up the stairs to the Bedford Road overpass. Turn right onto Bedford Road and walk to the traffic light (Memorial Plaza on your right, and Marble Ave. on your left. Cross left onto Marble Ave. and walk about a 1/4 mile south to Parkway Field.
 
Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival:  Through September 3
The experience:
Powerful personalities take the stage this season under Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival's open air Theater Tent on the Hudson. Share an unforgettable evening of outdoor theater as Richard II, The Taming of the Shrew, The Heart of Robin Hood, and more run in rotating repertory all summer long at historic Boscobel House and Gardens. Performances start at 7:30 p.m. and the grounds open for picnicking at 5:30 p.m.

Celebrate the legacy and future of jazz at the 17th annual Jazz in the Valley festival on the waterfront in Poughkeepsie. Swing to the sounds of world renowned musicians against a backdrop of breathtaking views of the Hudson River. The music begins at noon, featuring performances by jazz greats and new jazz voices.
