DEC TO HOLD ANNUAL WATERFOWL INFORMATION MEETING

Virtual Meeting Scheduled for Sept. 21, 2022

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is holding its annual waterfowl information meeting on Sept. 21, 2022, virtually via WebEx from 7 to 9 p.m. Wildlife biologists will provide regional and statewide waterfowl news and updates, on such topics as:

  • Highlights of wetland management and research programs at Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge, and the Tonawanda and Oak Orchard, Northern Montezuma, and Braddock Bay wildlife management areas;
  • Atlantic Flyway waterfowl populations;
  • Upcoming duck and goose hunting seasons; and
  • Expected impoundment fall water level status.
