NYS Park Police Make Arrest For Racist Graffiti At Genesee Valley Greenway in Livingston County

New York State Park Police arrested a 17-year-old on Sunday in connection with anti-Semitic, Nazi graffiti along the Genesee Valley Greenway Trail in the village of Mount Morris, Livingston County.

The suspect was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and making graffiti, both misdemeanors, and injury to property, a violation. On March 23, 2021, State Parks staff discovered the graffiti, and an investigation was later launched in coordination with Park Police, State Police and Mount Morris law enforcement officials. The offensive graffiti has been removed.

The suspect name is not being released due to the suspect’s age. The Park Police Detective Bureau continues to work with the State Police and Livingston County District Attorney’s Office on this case.
