Event: Top officials from the New York State Tax Department will meet with representatives from more than one dozen local non-profit, community and government groups. The event will focus on the Department's effort to grow services that benefit low to moderate-income and under-served taxpayers. Among the topics to be addressed are: improved services that promote financial literacy, new tax preparer regulations, services available from the Taxpayer Rights Advocate, and the Earned Income Tax Credit, which can save New Yorkers up to $8,000. Chandler Drive (I-587) to first stop light at end of road. Turn left at stop light into Albany Ave. Count seven stop lights. Turn left into parking lot of Ulster County Office Complex.
