OGS TO AUCTION SEIZED 2017 BENTLEY ON JULY 10 IN ALBANYForfeited Dodge Ram Also Being Auctioned |
|
The New York State Office of General Services (OGS) has added a Bentley and a Dodge Ram to the list of items the public can bid on at a surplus vehicle, highway equipment, and miscellaneous property auction scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 10 at the Harriman State Office Building Campus in Albany. Items being sold will be available for inspection starting at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the auction. The Bentley and a Dodge Ram were forfeited earlier this year to pay restitution to the New York State Medicaid Program. The vehicles were seized and forfeited as part of a fraud case announced in 2018 by the New York State Office of the Attorney General involving bribery of a Medicaid-funded insurance company employee. The 2017 Bentley Flying Spur W12 S has 1,496 miles on it, and the “fully loaded” 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 has approximately 17,500 miles on the odometer. In recent years, OGS has auctioned a 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo Nera, a 2013 Mercedes G63, a 2012 Porsche Cayenne, and a 2012 Audi A7, which were also seized as a result of Medicaid fraud investigations. For a listing of other New York State auctions to be held throughout the state later this year, information on specific items, and terms of sale, please visit ogs.ny.gov/nysstore, email state.surplus@ogs.ny.gov, or call (518) 457-6335.
