Statement from Sarah Feinberg, Interim President of MTA New York City Transit:
"Nelson Rivera served the people of New York at New York City Transit for over 30 years, beginning his career as a car maintainer at the 207th Street Overhaul Shop. He quickly rose through the ranks with his steadfast dedication and determination always on display, and his passion for advocacy on behalf of his colleagues as his North Star. Nelson was an incredible member of the New York City Transit family and his contributions will never be forgotten."
