USA Hockey Women's U18 National Festival this Week in Lake Placid

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (Aug. 15, 2017) --- Thirty-one hockey players are in Lake Placid, N.Y. this week, participating in the 2017 USA Hockey Women's U18 National Festival.  The festival is an annual event used to select the 22-player Under-18 Select Team roster for a three-game series against Canada beginning Thursday, Aug. 17, in the Lake Placid Olympic Center.

 

WHAT: Annual USA Hockey Women's U18 National Festival

 

WHERE: Olympic Center, 2634 Main St., Lake Placid, NY 12946

 

WHO: 31 of the United States’ best U18 women hockey player from throughout the country. Athletes are from 15 different states and 11 different districts, and includes seven members of the U.S. Women’s National Under-18 Team that won gold at the 2017 International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 Women’s World Championship – Taylor Heise (Lake City, Minn.), Lizi Norton (Orono, Minn.), Gracie Ostertag (Shakopee, Minn.), Dominique Petrie (Beverly Hills, Calif.), Lindsay Reed (New Vernon, N.J.), Ally Simpson (Frisco, Texas) and Madeline Wethington (Edina, Minn.). WHEN: The three-game series against Canada begins, Thursday, Aug. 17, at 6 p.m. Friday’s game, Aug. 18, begins at 5 p.m. and Sunday’s, Aug. 20, 9:30 a.m.

 

Tickets are available at the door of the Herb Brooks Arena. Single game ticket prices are $10 for adults and $6 for juniors and seniors. All event tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for juniors and seniors. Each game will also be streamed live at HockeyTV.com.
