Roofers Recruit Apprentices |

West Seneca, NY (April 26, 2022) - The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) for Roofers of WNY, Local Union #74, will conduct a recruitment from May 24, 2022 through May 23, 2023 for 20 Roofer apprentices, the New York State Department of Labor announced today. Please note that the 20 openings listed for Roofer apprentices represent the total number for two recruitment regions - the Finger Lakes and Western regions of the state. Applications must be completed in person at JATC for Roofers of WNY, Local Union #74, 2800 Clinton Street, West Seneca, NY, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding legal holidays, during the recruitment period. Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner. Under state law, sponsors of programs cannot discriminate against applicants because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or marital status. Women and minorities are encouraged to submit applications for apprenticeship programs. Sponsors of programs are required to adopt affirmative action plans for the recruitment of women and minorities. |
